Here we are again. It’s that time of year when we start thinking of what we would like do for a winter break. We have those who just want to spend time enjoying the sun’s rays on a sandy beach listening to breaking ocean waves. Others need more excitement and prefer a mountain vacation that offers numerous options for enjoying the fresh snowfall from the night before. So whether it’s a sunny beach or a winter wonderland we are fortunate that we can do it all in the US.
Traveling to Florida after the Hurricanes
This year has been tough for our southern states with both Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael slamming into the panhandle of Florida and the Carolina’s as well as traveling through Georgia and Virginia. Even though the destruction was intense, there are still many options for those wishing to travel to Florida this winter. Our popular east coast destinations of Miami, West Palm and Ft Lauderdale were not affected by the storms. So, if you want sun and fun they would be excellent choices. Now, if you’re looking for something quiet and peaceful with options to be busy, how about Vero Beach.
Vacationing in Vero Beach
There is a little of something here for everyone. Vero Beach offers a variety of hotel options including an ocean front Disney Resort. Enjoy long stretches of peaceful white sand beaches. See the alligators on an Air Boat Tour. Or, check out the many species of Florida’s seabirds at the National Wildlife Refuge and the Archie Carr Wildlife Refuge.
Plenty of golf courses
Great dining options
Days to remember
Just imagine, spending your morning enjoying the natural beauty and local flare of Vero Beach. Then, returning after a light lunch to a reclining beach chair, enjoying your favorite new book while listening to the seabird’s calls. Later it’s off to a beachside dinner after taking an afternoon nap. I don’t know about you but it sounds really good to me.
Whether your dream vacation is laid back enjoying the sun and tranquility of a quiet destination or you need some added nightlife. You can find it all this winter in Florida.
